Fire Erupts in Noidas Bahalolpur Area Due to Short Circuit

Noida, June 6: Panic erupted in the Bahalolpur area of Noida on Saturday when a fire broke out due to a sudden short circuit in electric wires. Bright sparks flew from the wires, accompanied by loud noises reminiscent of firecrackers. This incident caused alarm among local residents, prompting many to rush out of their homes and shops.

Witnesses reported seeing a sudden flash from the wires around noon. Within moments, sparks began to erupt, resembling the sounds and sights of Diwali fireworks.

The continuous loud noises and flashes created a fearful atmosphere among those nearby. Residents feared that the fire could spread to adjacent buildings or shops. Emergency services were promptly alerted, and teams from the electricity and fire departments arrived on the scene to assess the situation.

Officials took precautionary measures by immediately shutting off the power supply to the affected line. This action helped control the fire-like situation, averting a potential disaster. Local residents expressed that if the power supply had not been cut off in time, the fire could have spread further.

Preliminary investigations by electricity department officials suggested that the short circuit was the likely cause of the incident. A detailed inquiry is underway to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries or casualties from this incident. Local residents have called for regular inspections and necessary repairs of the old and dilapidated wires to prevent such events from happening again.
