
Malegaon, June 25: An FIR has been filed against Nazia Ilahi Khan in Malegaon, Maharashtra, for allegedly making offensive comments regarding the Prophet Muhammad and other Islamic figures. This action follows a complaint lodged by officials of the All India Sunni Jamiat-ul-Islam.
The organization claims that Nazia Ilahi Khan has been making controversial statements against the Muslim community and its religious beliefs, causing distress among its members.
Sufi Nurul Ayan Sabri, a representative of the All India Sunni Jamiat-ul-Islam in Malegaon, stated, “Two days ago, we submitted a memorandum to the relevant authorities across the country. We also submitted a memorandum to the Additional Superintendent of Police in Malegaon, demanding action against Nazia Ilahi Khan.”
According to Sabri, the organization alleges that Khan made inappropriate remarks about the Prophet Muhammad, Hazrat Aisha Siddiqua, and other Islamic figures. Additionally, she has been accused of making controversial statements regarding Islamic festivals and traditions. He mentioned that the organization followed legal procedures to file a complaint at the Malegaon police station, which led to the FIR being registered.
Sabri expressed that there is significant anger and resentment within the community regarding this issue. They accuse Nazia Ilahi Khan of consistently targeting the Muslim community with her statements. The organization has called on the police administration to conduct a fair investigation and take appropriate action according to the law.
Officials from the organization are hopeful that the police will take necessary legal steps, considering the seriousness of the matter. However, the police have yet to release a detailed official statement regarding the case. Authorities have indicated that the investigation will proceed based on the complaint and available facts.
