Uttarkashi, September 15 (Daily Kiran) : A tragic vehicle accident occurred near Khanyasani village in the Mori area of Uttarkashi on Tuesday, resulting in one death and eleven injuries. Among the injured, three individuals are reported to be in critical condition and have been referred to a higher medical facility in Dehradun.
Upon receiving news of the incident, teams from the district administration, police, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and the health department quickly arrived at the scene to conduct rescue operations.
Initial reports indicated that a vehicle carrying twelve people met with an accident on the motor road near Khanyasani village. District Magistrate Prashant Arya immediately instructed relevant officials to commence relief and rescue efforts.
Following the district magistrate’s orders, the emergency operations center dispatched the Tehsildar of Mori, police, SDRF personnel, and the 108 ambulance service to the site. Additionally, a team from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) in Barkot was also sent to assist.
All injured individuals were transported to the community health center in Mori for treatment. After receiving initial care, the three critically injured patients were transferred to Dehradun via ambulance.
The Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Purola also arrived at the scene to oversee the ongoing relief efforts. Teams from the police, SDRF, administration, and health department continue to work diligently to provide assistance. The district administration is closely monitoring the situation and gathering detailed information regarding the causes of the accident. They have assured the public that updates will be shared as new information becomes available.
