Chhindwara, August 2: The central government has decided to extend the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme until 2031. This decision brings relief to millions of farmers across the country. Farmers in Chhindwara district, Madhya Pradesh, welcomed the government’s announcement, stating it will strengthen agriculture and boost the confidence of small farmers.
Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, eligible farmers receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually, distributed in three installments. The extension of this scheme until 2031 is seen as a significant relief for farmers. Local farmers expressed that this amount is crucial for covering expenses such as seeds, fertilizers, and other essential costs during farming.
Farmer Basant Patel shared his thoughts with a news agency, saying, “We are happy that the government has extended the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme for five more years. This scheme is highly beneficial for farmers. We thank the Narendra Modi government.”
Another farmer, Lalit Singh, mentioned, “I learned about the extension through the news. This is a joyous occasion for farmers. Small farmers benefit greatly from this scheme. On behalf of all farmer brothers, I want to thank Prime Minister Modi.”
Farmer Sandeep Chaudhary added, “It is a matter of joy for farmers across India that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended the Samman Nidhi scheme. We were concerned that the scheme might end in 2027, but the steps taken by our Prime Minister are commendable. This scheme fulfills many small needs of farmers.”
