
Kakinada, July 11: The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Hospital in Kakinada has announced the recruitment of qualified candidates for 17 full-time specialist and senior resident positions across various departments. This recruitment is based on a contractual agreement.
The appointment for senior resident positions will last for three years, with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance. Meanwhile, candidates for the full-time specialist roles will be appointed for one year, which can also be renewed annually.
The vacancies include six specialist positions and eleven senior resident roles. The specialist roles cover anesthesia, microbiology, ophthalmology, pediatrics, general surgery, and accident and emergency, with one position each. The senior resident positions include two in anesthesia, two in general medicine, one in pediatrics, three in surgery, and three in the ICU.
The offline application process began on July 7, and the deadline for submission is set for July 18. Interested candidates are advised to submit their registration forms by 1 PM on the final date.
Candidates applying for the specialist positions must hold an MBBS degree along with a postgraduate degree or equivalent diploma in the relevant specialty from a recognized university or institution. Registration with the Medical Council of India or the State Medical Council is also required. For the accident and emergency department, candidates must have an MBBS degree with a postgraduate degree or equivalent diploma in critical care, anesthesia, general medicine, pulmonary medicine, or pediatrics.
Preference will be given to candidates with postgraduate qualifications in critical care. If critical care candidates are unavailable, those with qualifications in anesthesia, medicine, pulmonary medicine, or pediatrics will be considered. Additionally, candidates should have three years of experience post-MD or at least five years post-diploma.
For the senior resident positions, applicants must possess a postgraduate degree or diploma in the relevant specialty and be registered with the Medical Council of India or the State Medical Council. For the ICU department, candidates should have a postgraduate degree or diploma in critical care, anesthesia, medicine, or pulmonary medicine, along with at least two years of experience after completing their MBBS.
The maximum age limit for the specialist positions is set at 69 years, while for the senior resident posts, it is 45 years, calculated as of the interview date. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Selection will be based on application scrutiny, a walk-in interview, and a screening test if necessary. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of ₹136,754.
The walk-in interview will take place on July 21 at the ESIC Hospital, Subhamurthy Nagar, Kakinada-533001. All candidates are advised to arrive by 9 AM with a hard copy of the completed application form and original and photocopies of all relevant documents. Late arrivals after 9 AM will not be considered for the interview.
Candidates must also pay the application fee according to their category, which is ₹500 for general/EWS/OBC candidates. SC/ST/women candidates, ex-servicemen, and persons with disabilities are exempt from the registration fee.

They can then download the application form provided in the notification, fill it out with the required information, attach all necessary documents, and send it in an envelope to the specified address before the deadline.
