BJP Accuses Congress of Gundagardi in Karnataka and New Delhi

Bengaluru, July 23: Karnataka BJP President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra targeted Congress on Wednesday. He alleged that Congress workers attacked BJP leaders and claimed that law and order in the state has completely deteriorated.

Vijayendra further accused Congress workers of engaging in ‘gundagardi’ in both Karnataka and New Delhi. This accusation arose in the context of recent protests against the leak of NEET exam papers and police actions during the ‘Parliament Chalo’ march by students outside Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence in the national capital.

In a statement regarding the protests in Karnataka, Vijayendra alleged that Congress workers threw eggs at BJP leaders and assaulted them, labeling the incident as ‘unforgivable.’

He asserted that the crimes of the Congress government are now being exposed. This shameless government continues its reign of terror. The attacks on our party leaders reflect the attitude of Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar.

Vijayendra stated that law and order in the state has completely collapsed during the current government’s tenure and questioned the silence of Home Minister Priyank Kharge.

He asked, “They talk about the Constitution and democracy at every opportunity. But where is the Home Minister now? If elected representatives are not safe, how can ordinary citizens expect security?”

He claimed that the people of Karnataka are living under the shadow of the current government and alleged that attacks on government officials, political leaders, and elected representatives indicate the rise of ‘gundagardi’ in the state.

The BJP leader remarked that both the government and law enforcement in Karnataka are at a standstill. He accused the party of using goons to orchestrate attacks on our leaders under the guise of party workers. Vijayendra challenged Congress leaders to show the courage to take action against those responsible for the attacks.

He also accused ministers of filing selective FIRs against farmers and ordinary citizens while failing to act against their own party workers.
