Enthusiasm Grows in West Bengal Following PM Modis Message, Says Dilip Ghosh

Kolkata, March 15: BJP leader Dilip Ghosh spoke to the media about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to West Bengal and the upcoming assembly elections, criticizing Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her party.

Ghosh stated, “The people of West Bengal want us to work more aggressively. They are ready for change, and this is the best and right time. After Prime Minister Modi’s message, enthusiasm has surged among the people of Bengal, dispelling all their doubts. Change is certain.”

He further added, “Nearly five lakh people from West Bengal have been forced to leave the state for work, leaving their elderly parents behind without care. Now, the atmosphere for change has been created. I believe that just as Bengal once led the nation, it will once again head in that direction. When Bengal comes under the leadership of the BJP, the state will regain its former glory.”

Ghosh criticized the Trinamool Congress (TMC) for not allowing the BJP to hold meetings, denying entry to their national president, and refusing permission for helicopters. He also mentioned the disrespect shown to President Droupadi Murmu and highlighted the TMC’s history of intimidation. “The government has resorted to thuggery. Minister Dr. Shashi Panja was seen publicly throwing stones at buses with goons, as captured in a video,” he stated.

During a rally on March 14 at Kolkata’s historic Brigade Parade Ground, Prime Minister Modi remarked that no matter how hard the current government tries, it cannot stop the tide of change. He noted that Bengal once propelled the entire nation forward, excelling in trade and industry. However, today, the youth struggle to obtain degrees and jobs, often migrating to other states in search of work. Modi emphasized that the TMC neither works nor allows others to work unless they receive their cut from any scheme, thereby obstructing central government initiatives from reaching the villages and the poor.
