Itanagar, March 18: The Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) has announced a special recruitment drive for a total of 984 Group-C positions through the Uniformed Services Combined Examination 2026. This official notification covers various departments.

The online application process will commence on March 23 at 11 AM and will close on April 10 at 3 PM. Eligible candidates who wish to apply can submit their registration forms within this timeframe once the application link is activated on the official website.

Among the 984 vacancies, the positions include 44 Constable Bands (IRBN), 2 Constable Buglers (IRBN), 236 Constable IRBN, 170 Female Constable Civil Police, 216 Male Constable Civil Police, 73 Firemen, and 243 Special Tiger Guards under STPF.

Applicants must have completed their 10th grade or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board. Additionally, candidates applying for the Constable Band (IRBN) position must possess knowledge of playing a musical instrument, while those applying for the Constable Bugler (IRBN) position must know how to play the bugle.

The minimum age for applicants is set at 18 years, with a maximum age limit ranging from 22 to 32 years, calculated as of April 10. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.

Applicants are required to pay the application fee online, which is set at ₹200 for General/OBC candidates and ₹150 for APST category candidates. Candidates with disabilities (PwD) are exempt from the application fee.

Selection of eligible candidates will be based on a written examination, medical fitness test, document verification, trade test, physical standard test (PST), and physical efficiency test (PET). Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹21,700 to ₹69,100.

To apply online, candidates should visit the official website of the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board. After reaching the homepage, they need to click on the active application link related to the announced positions. They must fill in all required information in the form, upload the necessary documents, photos, and signatures in the correct size and format, pay the application fee according to their category, check the form, and then submit it. Finally, candidates should print a copy of the application form for future reference.

The written examination is expected to be held on May 10, with the PET, PST, and trade tests scheduled for May 25.
