Mumbai, May 14: Actor Divyendu is thrilled with the success of Netflix’s boxing crime drama series “Glory.” In a recent discussion, he delved into the deeper meanings of words like passion, obsession, and patience. He believes that people often use these terms lightly, despite their profound implications.
Divyendu remarked that he sees little distinction between being “madly passionate” and being “obsessed.” He stated, “I don’t find much difference between being madly passionate and being obsessed. They are essentially the same.”
When portraying a character, he immerses himself fully, yet he emphasizes the need to maintain balance. He cautioned against overthinking or overdoing things, highlighting that this journey is not a 100-meter sprint but a long marathon requiring immense patience.
As an actor, he noted, “You need patience for this entire journey.” He also pointed out that the interpretation of these words can vary based on one’s profession. An athlete views them differently than an artist does.
Divyendu firmly believes that true passion and obsession are enduring, not fleeting. He commented on the casual use of the term “obsessed,” providing an example: “Nowadays, people say they are obsessed with a show, binge-watch six or seven episodes, and then quickly move on to the next trend. Such words shouldn’t be used so lightly.”
