Mumbai, September 7 (Daily Kiran) : Social media influencer Kushal Tanwar, known as Gullu, has officially joined the cast of Bigg Boss 20. In a recent interview, he expressed his desire to transcend the label of merely being a reality show contestant.
Before entering Bigg Boss 20, Gullu had already made a name for himself in reality television, having participated in shows like Roadies, Splitsvilla, and Maa Hai Na, even emerging as a winner in some of them.
He mentioned that he is eager to pursue acting but is waiting for the right opportunity. “Reality shows feel like nothing to me now. Initially, I was excited, but now it feels like I’m just home on a long vacation, chilling for three months. I showcase my life as it is—without filters, lies, or pretenses. I just want to stay here,” he said.
Gullu emphasized that he would only venture into acting when he feels truly prepared. “I believe one should only try their hand at this field when they are good at it. If I attempt something and fail, I can’t ruin my career over a bad choice. Patience is key. I’m waiting for something good. When I feel ready, I will think about acting,” he explained.
He pointed out that reality shows provide instant recognition, while acting requires continuous proof of talent. “I won’t say my life was great before reality shows. I had no fame and was just enjoying life. If that ends, I can pursue other ventures. There’s so much to do in this world; I can create my own brand. Gullu is a brand,” he asserted.
Gullu has been strategically planning his career for a long time. “I plan for what I want to achieve and then consider my next steps, but with Bigg Boss, it’s different. I don’t want to be in reality shows all the time because I need to progress. I don’t want any labels. I will create my own title,” he concluded.
