Devkinandan Thakur Calls for Strict Action Against Ram Temple Donation Scandal

Dhoulpur, June 23: Renowned storyteller Devkinandan Thakur has voiced strong criticism regarding the alleged fraud in donations for the Ram Temple. He emphasized the need for stringent action against those involved in the scandal.

In a conversation with reporters on Tuesday, Thakur stated, “If the reports we are hearing are true, I want to make it clear that we have Narendra Modi’s government at the center and Yogi Adityanath’s government in the state. There will be no leniency in taking strict action against the accused. The government will ensure that appropriate measures are taken.”

Thakur further remarked that during the Kumbh Mela, there was significant coverage regarding the Sanatan Board. For those who understand religion and scriptures, the money donated to Lord Ram is not merely wealth; it should be considered as offerings to Thakur Ji. He expressed hope that this offering would benefit the underprivileged and reiterated the need for the Sanatan Board to initiate this process.

He stressed that offerings to Thakur Ji should contribute to social welfare, including the construction of hospitals and cow shelters. “We have put forth our views on this matter,” he added.

Thakur also insisted that there should be no government involvement in temple affairs. “No government official should be appointed in the temple under any circumstances. They should first acquire knowledge; their role should not be limited to counting money. Misusing the temple’s resources will lead to negative consequences,” he warned.

Earlier, on June 16, Thakur had demanded the establishment of a ‘Sanatan Board’ for temples. He referenced scriptures while discussing the donation box controversy, stating that those who misuse temple funds would suffer for 60,000 years as a worm in excrement. “If people truly understand this, no one would dare to steal even a single rupee from the temple,” he concluded.
