Mumbai, (Kiran News). A major box office clash is set between Hrithik Roshan’s War 2 and Rajinikanth’s Coolie. Despite being allotted fewer screens, Coolie has taken the lead in advance ticket sales.

Reports indicate that Yash Raj Films, the producer of War 2, has booked a majority of screens across India, particularly in single, dual, and triple-screen theatres. As a result, Coolie initially received only one or two shows in four-screen theatres. However, within just four days before release, the situation has shifted in favour of Coolie, which is now ahead in advance bookings.
Initially, Coolie’s opening day collection was estimated at ₹8 crore, but the strong pre-release response has pushed expectations higher. While War 2 remains ahead among Hindi-speaking audiences, Coolie’s growing demand could influence the final box office outcome.
A theatre owner revealed that Yash Raj Films had earlier instructed them not to allot any shows to Coolie. However, rising audience demand has led to the addition of two daily shows for the Rajinikanth starrer. Both films will release on August 14, and opening day collections are expected to reveal the clear winner of this high-profile clash.
