
Beed, September 16 (Daily Kiran) : The Central Railway is set to fulfill a long-standing demand from the people of Marathwada by launching the first daily train service between Beed and Pune. The inauguration will take place on September 17 at Beed railway station. Notable guests, including Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar, MP Bajrang Sonawane, and MLA Sandeep KshirSagar, will flag off the inaugural special train.
This special train, numbered 01401, will operate between Beed and Pune, making stops at various stations, including Amalner Bhandyache, New Ashti, Narayandoh, Ahilyanagar, Shrigonda Road, Daund Cord Line, and Uruli.
The train will consist of 15 coaches, featuring 2 AC Two-Tier coaches, 3 AC Three-Tier coaches, 4 Sleeper coaches, 4 General Second Class coaches, 1 Second Class Seating with Guard Break Van, and 1 Generator Van.
Additionally, the Central Railway announced that the regular service of train number 11434/11433 Pune-Beed-Pune Daily Express will commence shortly, with detailed schedule and stoppage information to be released soon.
The introduction of this train service marks a significant achievement following the commissioning of the Ahilyanagar-Beed-Parli Vaijnath new railway line project. It will provide students, traders, professionals, patients, and pilgrims from Beed district with a direct and convenient travel option to Pune.
According to railway officials, this service will offer Beed its first direct rail connectivity to Pune, easing travel for those seeking education, healthcare, and employment opportunities. It presents a more affordable, safe, and comfortable alternative to road transport, while also promoting local trade, tourism, and agricultural activities. This new link will strengthen the connection between Marathwada and Western Maharashtra.
