New Delhi, September 17 (Daily Kiran) : The Indian Coast Guard’s 43rd Commanders Conference commenced on Thursday in New Delhi. This annual event is a critical platform for discussing maritime security challenges. Senior commanders are engaging in dialogues about the modernization and requirements of the Coast Guard.
Defense Minister of State Sanjay Seth attended the conference, meeting with Director General P. Shivamani and other senior commanders. They discussed key issues related to the Coast Guard’s operational readiness and maritime security.
The conference emphasizes operational preparedness, capability development, infrastructure, training, and indigenization. There is a strong focus on enhancing the Coast Guard’s capabilities to address emerging challenges in the maritime domain. The conference will continue until September 19 at the Coast Guard headquarters in New Delhi.
