
Ranchi, August 9: On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of independence, a special performance by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Patriotic Band took place at Albert Ekka Chowk in Ranchi on Sunday. The event was graced by the presence of Sanjay Seth, the Union Minister of State for Defence and Member of Parliament from Ranchi.
The program, filled with patriotic tunes, attracted a large audience, including school students, National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets, and local citizens. The entire chowk was vibrant with the spirit of nationalism during the performance.
Minister Sanjay Seth remarked that the CRPF soldiers’ presentation strengthened the people’s dedication and sense of service to the nation. He emphasized that such events play a crucial role in connecting the younger generation with the values of the country’s freedom struggle, national unity, and responsible citizenship.
He stated that patriotism is not just an emotion; it encompasses discipline, responsibility, and a commitment to fulfilling one’s duties towards the nation. Events like this remind people of these essential values.
Earlier on Sunday, a grand Tiranga Yatra was also held in Ranchi. Organized by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, the procession included notable figures such as Rajya Sabha MP and BJP State President Aditya Sahu, MLA CP Singh, MLA Naveen Jaiswal, Ranchi Mayor Roshni Khalkho, former minister Neera Yadav, CRPF IG Saket Singh, Commandant AK Jha, and Commandant Rajesh Yadav, along with former Rajya Sabha MP Ajay Maru, Ranchi Metropolitan BJP President Varun Sahu, and Dheeraj Mahato, the rural East BJP President.
According to the organizers, various events are being held across the country to commemorate the 80th year of independence, with the Ranchi program being a significant part of this nationwide celebration.
