Sanjay Seth Challenges Rahul Gandhi to Protest in Ranchi Over Student Issues

Ranchi, August 9: Central Minister Sanjay Seth and Jharkhand BJP President Aditya Sahu met with protesting students on Sunday regarding irregularities in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) exams.

The meeting took place at the Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in Ranchi, where both leaders launched a strong attack on the Jharkhand government and Rahul Gandhi.

In a conversation with the media, Minister Seth stated, “The Chief Minister should have met with the students within 24 hours. These are our children, our daughters, and the government remained silent for 16 days. Just like the British used a ‘divide and rule’ policy, the state government is doing the same by engaging with different organizations and putting on a show.”

Sanjay Seth further criticized Rahul Gandhi, saying, “The people of Jharkhand are calling you. Rahul Gandhi is the owner of the biggest factory of lies in the country. The nation knows about his dual character. He views everything through a political lens. There is no political gain here since you (Congress) are in power. You only show up where elections are held.”

Challenging the Congress leader, Seth added, “If you have any morality left, if you have courage, come to Ranchi. If you dare, sit outside the Chief Minister’s residence and demand his resignation.”

He compared the ongoing student protests in Ranchi to demonstrations at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, accusing Gandhi of adopting a “double standard.” Seth reiterated that the BJP would stand with the students and support their demands.

The central minister also targeted the Jharkhand government and the India Block, alleging that members of the NSUI and JMM youth front were being included in the protests to “divide” the students and weaken their movement.

Seth remarked, “Students are falling ill, their health is deteriorating, and 16 days have passed. The state government’s ‘divide and rule’ approach during this time is unacceptable. How scared is the government? They lack the courage to face the students. Sixteen days have gone by, and they have not taken a single step. What are they afraid of? Why don’t they order a CBI investigation?”

Meanwhile, Jharkhand BJP President Aditya Sahu stated, “The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha government, supported by Congress, is mocking the students and toying with their issues. Why is there a need for repeated discussions? Just like the Congress party staged a drama in Delhi, misleading students while on a hunger strike at the Prime Minister’s residence, where is Rahul Gandhi today? Why is he not talking to the students or meeting the Chief Minister? If he has any morality or love for Jharkhand, he should protest outside the Chief Minister’s residence and speak clearly, or the government should order a CBI investigation; otherwise, I will withdraw support from the government.”

Aditya Sahu expressed concern, saying, “Our children, our students, are crying in Jharkhand. I believe the government lacks the courage to understand these children’s tears. It’s not just three children crying; hundreds of students in this state are shedding tears. The government needs to understand this… Congress was shouting loudly in Delhi. Rahul Gandhi tries to explain things over the phone, but he should first ask the Chief Minister about this.”
