
Gurugram, October 7 (Daily Kiran) : In Gurugram, on October 7, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) inaugurated the basic training for the 57th batch of directly appointed gazetted officers at the CRPF Academy in Kadarpur. The ceremony was graced by Gyanendra Pratap Singh, the Director General (DG) of CRPF, who attended as the chief guest alongside senior officials and faculty members.
This new batch comprises 99 trainee officers selected from across the country, including three women. Their academic and professional backgrounds are diverse, featuring 22 postgraduates and 77 graduates, with an average age of 26.8 years. Among them, 28 officers have prior experience in the armed forces, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), police, and other governmental organizations. Several trainees have also excelled in sports at both state and national levels.
Addressing the trainees, DG Singh encouraged them to fully leverage the rigorous training offered at the academy. He emphasized the importance of evolving into capable, disciplined, and sensitive leaders. Above all, he urged them to strive to be good human beings, treating their personnel with respect, dignity, and care while setting a positive example through their leadership.
The DG highlighted the necessity of achieving and maintaining high levels of physical fitness, remaining serious and committed during training, and continuously enhancing their professional knowledge. He also stressed the development of essential traits like character, integrity, and leadership as vital for a force officer. Singh advocated for the principle of “forgetting old ways, learning new ones, and relearning” as a critical aspect of their professional growth.
This ceremony marks the beginning of an intensive training journey aimed at preparing young officers to take on diverse and challenging leadership responsibilities within the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). The DG wished the trainee officers well as they embark on this transformative training experience.
