
Hathras, October 7 (Daily Kiran) : In a significant operation ahead of the Diwali festival, police in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, have arrested two individuals involved in the illegal manufacturing of fireworks. This action was part of a special campaign aimed at ensuring public safety during the festive season.
Authorities reported the seizure of approximately 25 tons of potassium nitrate and 8 tons of potassium sulfate from the suspects. The police are actively pursuing additional suspects linked to the operation, with searches ongoing at various potential locations.
Superintendent of Police Chiranjiv Nath Sinha confirmed the initiative, emphasizing the importance of public safety during the Diwali festivities. He stated that while two individuals have been apprehended, efforts continue to capture three more suspects involved in the illegal activities.
In a related incident on the same day, a separate case emerged from Maharajganj, where a young man sparked controversy by posting a video on social media. The video depicted an artificial intelligence simulation of an explosion at a border security camp along the India-Nepal border. This alarming content quickly went viral, prompting police to take swift action.
The police employed digital surveillance techniques to track down the individual, identified as Faiyaz Ahmed. They successfully removed the incendiary video from his social media account and arrested him. He has since been charged and is facing further legal proceedings.
