Patna, June 20: A court in Patna has provided interim relief to Faisal Khan, also known as Khan Sir, in connection with a shooting case. On Saturday, the court ordered that no strict action be taken against Khan Sir until further notice. This ruling effectively halts his arrest for the time being.
Three members of his staff received similar relief; the court instructed that no punitive measures be taken against them until the next hearing.
During the proceedings on Saturday, Patna police presented the case diary to the court. After reviewing the documents, the court granted interim protection to Khan Sir until the next hearing date. Others associated with Khan Sir were also safeguarded from strict actions. The next hearing is scheduled for June 25.
Khan Sir’s lawyer, Arvind Kumar Maurya, stated that the police submitted the case diary, which has been handed over to the public prosecutor. They are required to return the case diary by June 23. The final hearing will take place on the 25th.
Maurya also mentioned that there was a hearing regarding the regular bail of two guards and Khan Sir’s anticipatory bail. The court has granted protection from arrest until the next hearing, and further consideration of the case will follow the examination of the case diary and other documents on record.
Previously, Khan Sir approached the Patna Civil Court for anticipatory bail concerning the shooting incident. In his petition, he denied all allegations and asserted that he had no involvement in the shooting. The petition argued that the charges against him are baseless and that he has been falsely implicated in the case.
Notably, after being released from jail, Roshan Anand alleged an attempt on his life and accused Khan Sir of being involved in a conspiracy against him. Additionally, he claimed Khan Sir’s involvement in the murder of Prince Yadav.
Later, Roshan Anand attempted to file a complaint against Khan Sir. When the case was not registered immediately, he protested outside the police station.
