Jhajjar, April 19: Congress MLA Kuldeep Vats has strongly condemned the recent incident involving former Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala in Hisar. He criticized the government’s failure to maintain law and order and raised questions about the police’s role in the matter.
The incident occurred when Dushyant Chautala was traveling with his convoy. A police officer reportedly blocked their path by positioning his vehicle in front of Chautala’s car. This led to a heated argument between both parties, escalating tensions. Chautala alleged that the officer pointed a weapon at him, and a video of the altercation has since gone viral on social media.
In an interview, Kuldeep Vats emphasized that the law should apply equally to everyone, whether a common citizen or a prominent leader. He stated that when such an incident occurs involving a former Deputy Chief Minister, it transcends individual issues and reflects on the entire system’s accountability.
Vats accused the police of failing to act appropriately, suggesting that the behavior of certain officials has contributed to such incidents. He warned that if the administration and police do not operate impartially, public trust in the system will diminish.
He also highlighted the government’s responsibility to ensure safety and justice for all citizens, regardless of their status. If the security framework comes under scrutiny, it poses a serious concern. Vats insisted that if any police officer or official is found at fault in this incident, strict action should be taken against them.
