Chennai, September 12 (Daily Kiran) : Congress leader Alim Al Bukhari has launched a fierce attack on the Tamilaga Vetrik Kadagam (TVK) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing both of operating under a fascist agenda influenced by a communal mindset.
Bukhari specifically targeted TVK leader Nirmal Kumar, labeling him as a person with a “dirty mindset” akin to that of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He claimed that Kumar exhibits even less accountability than the BJP. Bukhari pointed out Kumar’s derogatory remarks about Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi’s family, as well as his attempts to discredit the DMK government by circulating a fake video of floods in Tamil Nadu, purportedly from Vietnam.
“This is the agenda of fascist individuals,” Bukhari stated. He added that the BJP often deflects criticism onto Congress, blaming historical figures like Nehru for present issues. “The truth is clear; independence was achieved due to Nehru and Gandhi. They are skilled at diverting attention,” he explained. Bukhari emphasized that TVK and BJP are even more irresponsible than the RSS, lacking any accountability.
He further asserted that while the BJP has some level of accountability, TVK shows none at all. Bukhari highlighted that Kumar, in particular, fears those within his own party who are active on social media. He accused Kumar of instructing police to issue summons to individuals living abroad, including in Singapore, Canada, and Kuwait.
Bukhari also criticized the Chief Minister‘s reluctance to answer questions directly, suggesting that prepared responses are more acceptable to him. He stated, “This is the same situation with Nirmal Kumar.”
The Congress leader reiterated that they have consistently presented evidence, particularly in the Rajya Sabha, regarding the detention of Karunanidhi under the Maintenance of Internal Security Act. He mentioned that even after ten days, Karunanidhi’s wife was not allowed to visit him, a fact recorded in the Rajya Sabha. “Nirmal Kumar needs to open his eyes. I must help the public understand who he truly is,” Bukhari concluded.
