Dehradun, August 10: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inspected the reconstruction of the approach road to Nanda Ki Chowki Bridge in Premnagar on his return from a women’s dialogue and honor event held in Sahaspur.
Upon arrival, CM Dhami assessed the quality of the reconstruction work, safety measures, and the traffic situation. He also gathered detailed information from officials regarding the construction efforts.
The state government acted promptly after receiving reports of damage to the Nanda Ki Chowki Bridge approach road, directing relevant departments to initiate relief and reconstruction activities. Under the Chief Minister’s guidance, the reconstruction was completed within just 12 hours.
With the completion of the reconstruction work, traffic in the area has returned to normal, alleviating the inconvenience faced by the public. The Chief Minister praised the swift and dedicated efforts of the officials, engineers, and personnel involved in the project.
It is noteworthy that just a day prior, CM Dhami participated in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga‘ rally in Dehradun, ahead of the 80th Independence Day on August 15. He remarked on the enthusiastic participation of people from Dehradun and surrounding areas, highlighting their unwavering commitment to the pride of the nation.
During the event, he emphasized that the Tiranga rally is not just an ordinary event but a celebration of national pride. CM Dhami stated that the massive turnout and the waving national flag symbolize the deep-rooted spirit of patriotism in the land of the gods, Uttarakhand.
He expressed, “This Tiranga represents the honor and pride of 1.4 billion Indians. The saffron color embodies the courage and sacrifice of our heroes. The white signifies peace and truth. Each color reflects our hopes for prosperity and development, while the Ashoka Chakra inspires us to move forward. When the Tiranga waves in the sky, every Indian’s chest swells with pride.”
