New Delhi, July 29: The issue of exam paper leaks has intensified political discussions. Ashutosh Ranka, the national spokesperson for the Cockroach People’s Party (CJP), raised concerns on Tuesday regarding a bill passed in Parliament. He urged the government to focus not only on penalties and punishments but also on implementing solid measures to prevent paper leaks.
Ranka questioned in a video released on the social media platform ‘X’, “Are we truly making efforts to stop paper leaks?”
He pointed out a significant flaw in the recently passed bill, stating, “The discussions revolve around post-leak measures, such as fast-track courts, penalties, and fines. However, there has been no mention of what the government is doing to prevent paper leaks.”
The CJP leader argued that without fundamental changes to the examination system, leak incidents will persist. He highlighted a five-point demand, stating, “Unless you discuss NTA reforms, ensure transparency in exam schedules and syllabi, address issues related to coaching centers, implement digital auditing, and strengthen the entire exam system from end to end, the problem of paper leaks will not be resolved.”
Ranka accused the government of only addressing the aftermath of paper leaks, saying, “We must also discuss how to prevent paper leaks.”
He appealed to the government to engage with students, educators, and experts in cybersecurity. He emphasized, “Look at our five-point demand charter. Consult with students, educators, and all types of experts in cybersecurity. The government should avoid hasty decisions, as this concerns the future of our children.”
