CJP Demands Accountability for Rajasthan Schools, Denies Political Motives

Jaipur, August 22: Ashutosh Ranka, spokesperson for the CJP, stated on Saturday that the organization will continue its nationwide school visits to highlight their poor conditions and demand accountability from all governments. He emphasized that their ‘Fix the Schools’ campaign is not politically motivated.

Speaking to reporters, Ranka said, “We will not say anything. We will just visit the schools. You can do whatever you want. We are not afraid of your nonsense. We will ensure our schools are repaired. You can do whatever you want. Look, we are demanding accountability from the government.”

Questioning officials about the state of government schools, he remarked that the focus should not be on what CJP will do in 48 hours, but rather on when the government will address the infrastructure crisis.

Ranka stated, “The question should not be what CJP will do in 48 hours. The question should be when will the government repair these schools? When will the 600 schools operating without buildings be fixed? When will the 85,000 classrooms in poor condition be repaired? These are the questions you should ask the Rajasthan government.”

In response to an alleged attack in a Rajasthan village, Ranka mentioned that videos of the incident have been shared on social media platforms and submitted to the police.

He said, “What happened yesterday was captured on video, which is available on social media platforms like X, Instagram, and others. We have also shared these unedited videos with the police. We have no specific narrative.”

Ranka claimed that the videos show the faces of those who attacked them, stating that they can be identified and arrested. He further added that if there is any evidence supporting allegations against CJP members, it should also be made public.

He dismissed claims that the organization is pursuing a political agenda against the BJP. He explained that their representatives visited the area because a school had reportedly been operating in a cattle shed for the past two and a half years. “We are not here to ask for votes. We are not politicizing against the BJP,” he said, noting that they had visited the school last year and shared a video of its condition.

Ranka insisted that it is unacceptable for children to study in such conditions and affirmed that the ‘Fix the Schools’ campaign will continue until the schools are repaired.

While speaking with Rajasthan’s Education Minister Madan Dilawar, Ranka questioned which school officials are trying to save. Referring to the school resembling a cattle shed, he stated that the tin structure could collapse at any moment, especially with buffaloes and fodder nearby.
