Beijing, May 10: A special envoy from Chinese President Xi Jinping, Luo Sang Qiangthsun, attended the inauguration ceremony of Djibouti’s President Ismail Omar Guelleh on Saturday. On the same day, President Guelleh met with Luo Sang Qiangthsun at the People’s Palace.
During this occasion, Luo Sang Qiangthsun extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes from President Xi Jinping to President Guelleh. He noted that under the strategic guidance of both nations’ leaders, the China-Djibouti comprehensive strategic partnership has consistently strengthened in recent years.
He also expressed China’s readiness to advance traditional friendship with Djibouti, expand practical cooperation, and elevate bilateral relations to new heights.
In response, President Guelleh requested Luo to convey his warm greetings to President Xi Jinping and expressed gratitude for sending a special envoy to the inauguration ceremony.
Guelleh stated that China has always been a reliable partner for Djibouti. He emphasized Djibouti’s commitment to further strengthening solidarity and cooperation with China, enhancing friendly exchanges across various sectors, and maintaining close coordination in international affairs.
