Their meeting reviewed ongoing security cooperation and agreed to further enhance the multifaceted relationship between the two countries.

The Indian Embassy emphasized that the security collaboration reflects the deep, trusted, and long-standing partnership between India and Vietnam. In addition to security cooperation, both parties exchanged views on regional and global developments. Doval also met with Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, General Phan Van Giang, to review the status of ongoing defense collaboration and strengthen activities in this sector.

Doval arrived in Hanoi on Sunday for this official visit, which is seen as a crucial step in reinforcing the India-Vietnam Enhanced Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
