
Beijing, May 28: Chinese Premier Li Qiang emphasized the need to expedite the construction of key storage hubs during his inspection of Chaozhou and Ningbo cities in eastern China’s Zhejiang province from May 25 to 27. He highlighted that enhancing these storage facilities would provide a reliable guarantee for coordinated development in both growth and security.
During his visit, Li Qiang reviewed the national oil storage base in Chaozhou, the main agricultural products storage and transportation hub, and the Ningbo Daxie commercial oil storage project. He received reports on the storage operations for oil and grain, inspected the storage facilities, and gathered information on the construction and operation of these projects.
Li stated that effectively managing the storage of essential goods and materials is crucial for stable economic and social operations. He urged the expansion of storage capacity by increasing the variety of storage facilities. Additionally, he called for improvements in storage and management technologies to enhance the level of informatization and intelligence.
While inspecting the Zhejiang International Commodity Trade Center, Li emphasized the importance of building an integrated service platform for key goods to strengthen the international influence of pricing mechanisms for these essential items.
During his tour of Chaozhou Port, Li observed the transportation of unmanned containers. He noted the numerous advantages of Chaozhou Port and asserted the need to develop it into a world-class powerful port.
