
Beijing, June 14: On June 13, China celebrated its tenth ‘Cultural and Natural Heritage Day.’ In recent years, the country has significantly strengthened the scientific, systematic, and comprehensive preservation of global cultural and natural heritages, leading to continuous improvements in their conservation status.
Currently, China boasts 60 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, which include 41 cultural heritage sites, 15 natural heritage sites, and 4 mixed cultural and natural heritage sites. China’s standards for the preservation and management of these sites rank among the best globally.
By 2025, museums across the nation are expected to host 45,000 exhibitions and displays, conduct 583,000 educational activities, and attract a staggering 1.56 billion visitors.
The ongoing Fourth National Cultural Heritage Census has made significant progress, uncovering over 130,000 new cultural heritage items. China’s cultural heritage resources are rapidly expanding.
