Beijing, June 14: Mongolian President Ukhna Khurelsukh met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on June 13 in Ulaanbaatar.

President Khurelsukh emphasized that the Mongolia-China relationship serves as a model for connections among regional countries. He noted that China has always been a good neighbor to Mongolia. A friendly policy towards China remains a priority in Mongolia’s diplomacy. Mongolia adheres to the One China principle and considers Taiwan an integral part of China, asserting that it does not support any claims of Taiwanese independence. Additionally, issues related to Hong Kong, Tibet, and Xinjiang are regarded as internal matters for China.

Mongolia will not allow its relations with other countries to harm China’s interests. The country supports significant concepts and initiatives proposed by Chinese President Xi and aims to strengthen cooperation in international affairs with China.

Wang Yi stated that under the strategic leadership of both nations’ heads, the development trend of China-Mongolia relations continues positively. Both parties agreed to strive for peaceful coexistence, mutual assistance, cooperation, and the co-construction of a community with a shared future for China and Mongolia. China is prepared to translate this equality into concrete policies and actions.

Wang Yi also highlighted that China places significant importance on bilateral relations within its neighborhood policy. He expressed eagerness to enhance solidarity and coordination with Mongolia in multilateral forums.
