Beijing, August 10: According to data released on August 8 by the State Administration for Market Regulation, China’s business structure has shown continuous improvement in the first half of 2026. This trend indicates that the economy is moving towards new, better, and high-quality growth.
The number of newly established companies in “eight emerging industries,” including next-generation information technology and high-end equipment manufacturing, has reached 561,000. Additionally, in “nine future industries,” such as humanoid robots and generative artificial intelligence, the growth trend remains stable.
In the field of generative artificial intelligence, 55,000 new enterprises were established, marking a 28.0% increase compared to the same period last year. Similarly, 116,000 new enterprises in the humanoid robot sector represent a 9.5% rise from the previous year, accelerating the emergence of new economic growth points.
The first half of this year also witnessed a significant surge in new consumption formats, with 3.957 million new service enterprises launched. Among these, 1.475 million were related to the cultural tourism industry.
Moreover, high-tech manufacturing has experienced notable growth. The establishment of new companies in spacecraft and launch vehicle manufacturing increased by 185.7%, while optical fiber and optical cable manufacturing saw a 129.4% rise compared to the same period last year.
