Beijing, May 8: In 2025, China’s total bicycle production reached 110.8 million units, marking an 11.3% increase from the previous year. This steady growth was reported during the 2026 China International Bicycle Exhibition held in Shanghai on May 8. The exhibition focused on the global bicycle industry’s trends in green, intelligent, and high-level development, showcasing China’s new bicycle products and emerging industry trends.
Kuo Wenyu, Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Bicycle Association, noted that in 2025, the operating revenue of large enterprises in China’s bicycle industry rose by 9% compared to the previous year, resulting in significant profit growth.
Regarding exports, China exported approximately 49 million bicycles in 2025, reflecting a 2.4% increase from the prior year, thus maintaining stable growth in industry exports. The export value of bicycle parts reached $3.632 billion, a 10.6% increase compared to the previous year, with parts exports performing exceptionally well.
