China Expands International Air Cargo Routes in 2026

Beijing, June 3: This year, China has seen a continuous increase in international air cargo routes. The flight paths primarily focus on Europe and Asia.

According to data from the China Logistics and Purchasing Federation, in May, China opened 11 new international air cargo routes. This includes seven routes to Asia, three to Europe, and one to North America.

From January 1 to May 31 of this year, China has launched a total of 80 new international air cargo routes. More than 180 additional round-trip flights have been added each week. These include 35 routes to Europe, 33 to Asia, 10 to North America, one to South America, and one to Africa.

In terms of cargo structure, cross-border e-commerce goods, high-end manufacturing products, high-value-added items, and fresh produce are predominant.

Experts have noted that the increase in international air cargo routes will not only streamline global logistics channels and stabilize industrial and supply chains but will also assist in delivering Chinese products to a global audience.
