Beijing, April 28: The Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China convened a meeting on Tuesday to analyze and study the current economic situation and tasks. General Secretary Xi Jinping chaired the conference.
The meeting highlighted that this year, the Central Committee, under Xi Jinping’s leadership, has strengthened its comprehensive oversight of economic work. Various departments have implemented policies across multiple sectors. China’s economic situation remains robust, with key indicators performing better than expected, showcasing the strong resilience and vitality of the Chinese economy.
However, challenges and issues persist. A solid foundation for stable economic growth is essential. There is a need to enhance confidence and make greater efforts with concrete measures to improve economic work.
The conference emphasized the importance of adhering to the principle of promoting growth alongside stability. It called for the thorough implementation of sequential policies. A deep analysis of domestic demand potential should be conducted while fully leveraging overall policies. Accelerating the construction of a modern industrial system and maintaining a proper balance in the manufacturing sector are also crucial. Additionally, effective risk prevention in key areas must be prioritized, alongside strengthening policies that focus on employment and improving livelihoods in education, health, and childcare sectors.
