China Adds Seven EU Entities to Export Control List

China Adds Seven EU Entities to Export Control List

Beijing, April 25: The Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced on April 24 that it will add seven European Union entities to its export control list.

According to a ministry spokesperson, this decision is based on relevant provisions of China’s export control laws and regulations concerning dual-use items. Among those added to the list is Hurstal, along with six other EU entities.

Under this decision, exporters are prohibited from exporting dual-use items to these entities. Additionally, foreign organizations and individuals are also barred from transferring or providing such items produced in China to these entities. All related activities must cease immediately.

The spokesperson stated that prior to announcing these measures, China informed the EU of the situation through a bilateral export control dialogue mechanism. They clarified that these measures are specifically aimed at EU entities involved in military activities, related to arms sales to Taiwan, or colluding with Taiwan.

Furthermore, they emphasized that these restrictions are limited to dual-use items and will not affect normal trade and economic exchanges between China and the EU. EU entities complying with the law need not worry.

The spokesperson also mentioned that the Chinese government remains committed to working with other countries to maintain world peace and regional stability, ensuring the stability of global industrial and supply chains.
