China Achieves Controlled Rocket Recovery with Long March-10B Launch

Beijing, July 10: China successfully launched the Long March-10B carrier rocket from the Hainan Commercial Space Launch Center in southern China, placing a satellite into its designated orbit.

For the first time, the rocket’s first stage returned successfully, marking China’s achievement in controlled rocket recovery.

The Long March-10B is a commercial carrier rocket, measuring 63 meters in length and 5 meters in diameter. It has a low Earth payload capacity of 16 tons when reused.

This rocket can perform various tasks, including establishing low-orbit satellite constellations and launching large commercial satellites. Its reusability is expected to significantly reduce launch costs.
