Amaravati, May 27: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N. Chandrababu Naidu addressed party workers on Wednesday. He urged them to collaborate with allies to replicate the success of the 2024 elections in the upcoming polls.
Speaking at the inaugural session of the TDP’s annual conference, Naidu advised party members to set aside their egos and ensure coordination with both the Jana Sena and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He emphasized the importance of working together with coalition partners to achieve significant success in the 2024 elections.
Naidu also called on TDP leaders to prepare for local body elections. He stressed that regardless of the election type, victory is crucial for the party. He encouraged them to work with the sole purpose of winning and to serve the public diligently.
He highlighted that the TDP-led coalition government is tirelessly working to revive the state. Naidu noted that the state government has distributed ₹63,000 crores for social security pensions, which he described as a record achievement in the welfare sector.
“We are committed to empowering women and enhancing their social, economic, and political dignity. Our initiatives range from securing women’s property rights to the ‘Talli Ki Vandanam’ scheme, which includes various welfare programs,” he stated.
Naidu announced that the TDP would firmly stand with women until 33% reservation is achieved in assemblies, in addition to providing reservations in local bodies. He mentioned that the party is implementing programs to empower women in education, employment, and finance.
He reminded everyone that the TDP was founded on welfare principles aimed at providing basic necessities like food, housing, and security. He claimed that the TDP initiated ‘visionary politics’ and symbolizes the revival of the people of Andhra Pradesh.
