Saharanpur, August 23: Chandan Chauhan, a Member of Parliament from Bijnor, has responded to the ongoing political rhetoric surrounding Jayant Chaudhary. He criticized Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav‘s remarks, stating that Chaudhary has always respected everyone, and using such language against him hurts people’s sentiments.
In an interview, Chauhan emphasized that Jayant Chaudhary is considerate of all and respects individuals from every community. He mentioned that Chaudhary maintains good relations with people from all walks of life. Therefore, if any objectionable or inappropriate language is used against him, it undoubtedly offends the public. In a democracy, the people are supreme. Those whom the public elects to power can also remove them when necessary.
Chauhan also commented on the political discourse in Western Uttar Pradesh, urging leaders to exercise restraint in their language and conduct. He noted that such statements have both political and social repercussions.
Supporting Bahujan Samaj Party leader Mayawati’s statement, Chauhan remarked that she is absolutely correct. Words used in public life should be chosen carefully. He stressed that individuals who uphold respect and dignity should not be insulted. With her extensive political experience, Mayawati’s comments are likely well-considered.
Regarding the ongoing controversy over ‘Vande Mataram‘, Chauhan stated that there should be no uproar over this issue. He described ‘Vande Mataram’ as a matter connected to national sentiments. The feelings of the country and its people should be respected, and such issues should be approached with patience and understanding rather than turning them into disputes.
On Congress, Chauhan remarked that the public is observing the party’s actions. He stated that the electorate assesses every political activity and responds through their decisions during elections.
