Dispur, October 7 (Daily Kiran) : The Central Silk Board (CSB) has announced exciting job opportunities for those interested in working in the sericulture sector. A notification has been released for the recruitment of 16 Sericulture Assistants (SA) on a contractual basis.
These positions are available across various units, including CSB-Meso in Guwahati, Assam, where there are two openings. Other locations include CSB-P3 in Silchar, Assam (1 position), CSB-P2-ERI BSF in Kamrup, Assam (1 position), and several others across Meghalaya and Nagaland, including Tura and Aizawl.
The online application process began on October 6 and will remain open until October 30, 2026. Candidates wishing to apply can complete their registration on the official CSB website.
Applicants must possess a full-time degree in sericulture from a recognized institution, with specific educational qualifications outlined. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in rearing silkworms and related fields.
The maximum age limit for applicants is set at 35 years, with age relaxation for candidates from reserved categories. Selection will be based on application screening and personal interviews, with successful candidates offered a salary of ₹21,000 per month along with additional benefits. It is important to note that these positions are purely contractual, initially lasting for one year.
