Ranchi, October 7 (Daily Kiran) : Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren rushed to Hill View Hospital in Bariyatu, Ranchi, on Wednesday as his mother, Rupi Soren, faced serious health issues. She has been hospitalized for over 20 days.
Due to her deteriorating condition, Chief Minister Soren canceled several scheduled events for the day. The state cabinet meeting, originally set to take place in the evening at Project Building, has also been postponed. A team of doctors is actively monitoring Rupi Soren’s treatment and health status. The chief minister sought updates from the medical team regarding her progress.
Dr. Sushma Priya, the hospital’s head, is personally overseeing Rupi Soren’s condition. However, no medical bulletin was released on Wednesday regarding her health. Rupi Soren has been battling health issues for an extended period, having been admitted to Hill View Hospital on September 18 after her condition worsened.
Initial examinations revealed a chest infection, but her condition was reported as stable at that time. Prior to her hospitalization, she had traveled to Bengaluru for treatment and returned to Ranchi before being readmitted to the hospital.
Close family sources indicate that Chief Minister Soren is closely monitoring his mother’s situation. Rupi Soren is the wife of Shibu Soren, a former chief minister and founder of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. Family members are in regular contact with hospital staff regarding her health. Meanwhile, leaders from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and Congress have expressed their wishes for her swift recovery.
