New Delhi, February 24: Central ministers have commended the government’s initiative to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into the education system. They emphasized that the government is working towards comprehensive reforms inspired by Indian philosophy and national priorities.

During a media interaction in the national capital, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stated that India’s education system is gradually embracing the use of AI across various sectors.

He revealed that an app for teachers was developed in collaboration with the Bharti Airtel Foundation, which was launched in November 2024.

Pradhan remarked, “Currently, India’s education system is advancing towards AI at multiple levels. Recently, we collaborated with the Bharti Airtel Foundation to create an app for teachers, which was inaugurated in November 2024.”

He further noted that a new version of this app has been launched with the support of the CK-12 Foundation, enhancing digital learning tools for educators.

The minister highlighted that such initiatives align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of modernizing education while centering on Indian values.

Referring to an event held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, he mentioned that the Prime Minister has called for freeing the country from colonial thinking by 2035.

Pradhan stated that they are implementing the National Education Policy (NEP) in accordance with the Prime Minister’s vision, ensuring that India’s education system reflects its unique identity and heritage.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, in a conversation with a news agency, noted that the Prime Minister prioritizes national security in every speech, whether in Parliament, during ‘Mann Ki Baat’, or at public events.

He said, “This reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring the country’s safety and security.”

Meghwal also mentioned a seminar discussing the relevance of ‘Integral Humanism’ as articulated by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay in today’s AI-driven era.

He stated that the main topic of discussion was how Indian philosophical thought can guide the ethical and balanced use of modern technologies like artificial intelligence.
