Sitapur, March 17: Uttar Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister, Brajesh Pathak, is actively addressing health system issues. On Monday, he conducted an unannounced inspection at the Community Health Center (CHC) in Chinhat. The following day, he visited the Sitapur CHC.
At both locations, Pathak adopted a strict stance, instructing officials that any negligence would not be tolerated. During his visit to the Sitapur CHC, he closely examined medical arrangements, availability of medicines, cleanliness, and the facilities provided to patients. He expressed his displeasure over the unsanitary conditions and poor drinking water supply at the center.
Pathak directed the relevant officials to remain on-site until improvements were made. During the inspection, he also interacted with patients to understand their concerns. Noticing the long queue for X-rays, he immediately ordered the generator to be activated and initiated the X-ray process to prevent unnecessary waiting for patients. Additionally, he instructed officials to rectify the drinking water supply issues.
Upon discovering negligence in cleanliness, he ordered a notice to be issued to the responsible agency and directed that a week’s payment be withheld. Earlier, he had identified several shortcomings during his inspection of the Chinhat CHC and had given strict instructions for improvements.
The Deputy CM emphasized that providing better and high-quality health services to the public is the government’s top priority. He reiterated that any form of negligence or indifference in health services would not be accepted under any circumstances.
