
New Delhi, April 2: The festival of Hanuman Jayanti is witnessing massive crowds at ancient temples across New Delhi and various cities in Punjab. In the heart of New Delhi, a long queue stretching one to two kilometers has formed outside the Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place. Devotees have arrived early in the morning, creating an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and devotion.
BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal, who visited the temple, expressed his wishes to people across the country on this auspicious day. He stated, “On Hanuman Jayanti, I wish everyone blessings from Lord Hanuman. It is a great privilege to visit the temple with family today.” He added, “I visit the temple daily, but this day is particularly special. I pray for our country to progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and become a global leader.”
A female devotee shared her thoughts on the celebrations, saying that Hanuman Jayanti is being celebrated in a magnificent manner. She emphasized that visiting Lord Hanuman brings relief from troubles and obstacles, urging everyone to come and seek his blessings. “Just as we celebrate our children’s birthdays with joy, we should celebrate Lord Hanuman’s birthday today,” she remarked.
Suhani, who came from Sector 11 in Rohini, mentioned that she left home at 6 AM and has been in line since then. She expressed that there are no difficulties, only joy in being part of this crowd and receiving Lord Hanuman’s blessings.
Yogesh from Shalimar Bagh stated that he participates in the celebrations with great enthusiasm every year. He noted that he has been waiting in line for two hours, and each visit is an extraordinary experience.
Another devotee highlighted the temple’s ancient and revered status, making it a priority for many to visit. In Tughlaqabad, Delhi, crowds also gathered early to visit the ancient Hanuman Temple.
In Bathinda, Punjab, the celebrations of Hanuman Jayanti were equally vibrant. A large number of devotees gathered at the ancient Hanuman Temple. Varuna Jain, a devotee, shared that a reading of the Sundarkand was scheduled for 10 AM, followed by another reading and a community feast in the evening. She encouraged everyone to come and benefit from Lord Hanuman’s blessings.
Another devotee joyfully exclaimed “Jai Siya Ram,” noting that Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated globally on the full moon day of Chaitra month. The ancient Hanuman Temple saw long lines of devotees eager to participate in the festivities and community feast.
Vijay Kalia, a practitioner of the Sundarkand, mentioned that he participates in this event every year. He noted that this ancient temple has been serving the Mahavir Sankirtan for 93 years. Following the Sundarkand reading, praises of Balaji and Ram Ji will be sung, followed by a community feast and distribution of prasad. The temple’s significance is deeply rooted, attracting visitors from afar.
