Agra, June 15: On the occasion of the 12th anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, Uttar Pradesh Minister Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary presented the government’s achievements to the public. He emphasized that the Modi administration transformed the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’ into a people’s movement rather than just a slogan.
Chaudhary outlined key accomplishments, including advancements in digital governance, welfare for the poor, farmer benefits, infrastructure development, internal security, and the preservation of cultural heritage.
He stated that under Modi’s leadership, the government’s priority has consistently been the welfare of the poor, farmers, youth, and women. After securing a third consecutive term, Modi signed the file related to the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, signaling that farmers’ interests are among the government’s top priorities.
Over the past 12 years, approximately 250 million people have risen above the poverty line. Through digital governance and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), government assistance has been delivered directly to people’s bank accounts. This initiative has helped eliminate fraudulent beneficiaries and saved around ₹4.31 lakh crore from falling into the wrong hands.
Discussing welfare programs, Chaudhary noted that over 580 million bank accounts have been opened under the Jan Dhan scheme, with more than 320 million accounts belonging to women. Additionally, over 810 million people are receiving free rations. Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, more than 600 million health cards have been issued, and the PM Suraksha Bima Yojana has provided coverage to over 580 million individuals.
Regarding housing and basic amenities, he mentioned that the PM Awas Yojana has provided permanent homes to over 40 million families. The Ujjwala scheme has granted free gas connections to 110 million women, while the Jal Jeevan Mission has delivered clean drinking water to over 160 million households. The Swachh Bharat Mission has led to the construction of over 120 million toilets.
To promote employment and self-employment, the PM Svanidhi scheme has disbursed loans to over 7.4 million people. Additionally, the Mudra scheme has provided over 570 million loans without guarantees. The PM Vishwakarma scheme has benefited more than 3 million artisans and traditional workers.
Chaudhary asserted that the country’s borders and internal security have become stronger than ever. Surgical strikes and airstrikes have sent a clear message to the world that New India does not remain silent in the face of terrorism and security challenges but responds decisively.
He highlighted that Uttar Pradesh has become the state with the most expressways in the country. The number of airports has increased from 74 to over 164, making air travel accessible to the general public through the UDAN scheme.
The changes in the railway sector were also noted as significant achievements. Leaders stated that over 99.6% of broad gauge railway lines have been electrified. The Amrit Bharat Station scheme is modernizing over 1,337 railway stations, while more than 164 Vande Bharat Express trains are successfully operating across various regions.
Chaudhary concluded by stating that in the past 12 years, the Modi government has not only set records in statistics but has also taken significant steps towards building a strong, self-reliant, developed, and confident India.
