Washington, August 13: Caroline Levitt, the Press Secretary for U.S. President Donald Trump, will resign from her position at the end of this month. She made this decision out of a sense of responsibility towards her children. Trump expressed his full respect for her choice.
In a post on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump stated, “Our wonderful White House Press Secretary and one of my most trusted allies, Caroline Levitt, will be stepping down at the end of this month to spend more time with her young children and family. This is a decision I completely understand and respect.”
Trump added that Caroline will now serve as one of his most important external advisors and will work as a significant voice within the Republican Party. Together, they will aim to challenge history and secure decisive victories in the midterm elections.
He noted that Caroline has played the role of a true leader at the White House. Since 2018, she has strongly advocated for justice, freedom, and liberty, including our historic reelection campaign for 2024. Caroline has performed her duties exceptionally well and is regarded as one of the best Press Secretaries in White House history. Trump thanked her for her outstanding work.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio also extended his best wishes to Levitt for her new responsibilities. Caroline shared her farewell post on the social media platform X. Rubio reposted her message, offering his congratulations.
In his post on X, Rubio wrote, “Caroline has been a vital part of President Trump’s team and has played a significant role in the historic achievements of the most transparent administration in American history. We wish her and her family all the best for the next chapter of their lives and hope for a bright future.”
