
Koderma, June 19: A shocking incident has unfolded in Koderma district, where the body of a 12-year-old boy, missing for six days, was discovered in a well on Friday morning. The boy, identified as Sheetal Kumar from Golwadhab village, was a sixth-grade student and the son of Virendra Yadav.
According to family members, Sheetal left home last Sunday evening and did not return. After extensive searches yielded no results, his family reported him missing at the Domchanch police station. Both police and relatives were actively searching for him.
On Friday morning, locals heading towards a pond noticed a body floating in a well in the Meghan Pahadi area of Bagdo Panchayat. Upon receiving the news, nearby residents gathered and alerted the police.
Family members who arrived at the scene confirmed the identity of the body as Sheetal Kumar, leading to a wave of grief in the family. Sheetal was the elder of two brothers, and his father works as a laborer to support the family. Police from the Domchanch station quickly arrived and retrieved the body from the well.
The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. Authorities state that the cause of death will be clarified once the post-mortem report is available. The police are currently investigating all angles to determine whether the boy fell into the well accidentally or if other factors were involved. They are also interviewing family members and local residents as part of their inquiry.
