Bodies of Young Man and Woman Found in Golf Green Flat; Two Arrested

Kolkata, May 31: Authorities discovered the bodies of a young man and woman in a flat located in the Golf Green area of South Kolkata. The bodies were found in the afternoon, and two young men present at the scene were reportedly under the influence and have since been arrested.

The police have initiated an investigation to determine the causes of death. The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Dilshad, a resident of Tiljala in East Kolkata. He frequently visited the flat in Golf Green.

According to police reports, Dilshad had rented the flat and often brought different individuals there. The bodies were discovered on Sunday morning, one being Dilshad and the other a young woman.

As of the time of this report, the woman’s identity has not been established, and the exact nature of her relationship with Dilshad remains unclear. However, initial information suggests they may have been involved.

The police have confirmed the arrest of the two young men found in the flat at the time of the discovery. Investigators are trying to ascertain why all four individuals were gathered in the flat.

Additionally, a significant quantity of suspicious substances was recovered from the premises, according to police sources. A senior officer from Kolkata Police stated that the bodies of a man and woman were retrieved from the flat, and the two individuals present have been taken into custody. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and the cause of death will be determined following the report. Interrogations of the arrested individuals are ongoing to gather more information about the incident.

Meanwhile, local residents have expressed outrage over the event. They allege that many flat owners in the Golf Green complex do not reside there but instead rent out their properties for extended periods. As a result, residents claim that numerous suspicious individuals frequently come and go in the area.

Local residents have also accused authorities of failing to provide an effective solution despite repeated complaints regarding the issue.
