Thiruvananthapuram, August 19: The BJP Youth Front has escalated its campaign against the Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC), demanding the dissolution of its current governing body and a thorough investigation into appointments made over the past decade.
State President V. Manuprasad stated that their movement will persist until the members of the PSC, who are facing allegations of corruption and fraud against job-seeking youth, are removed from their positions.
He emphasized, “The current PSC governing body must be dissolved. We will continue our movement until action is taken.”
Manuprasad noted that their organization has already lodged complaints regarding PSC-related issues with the Governor of Kerala, who has assured them that the matter will be taken seriously.
He expressed hope that the Governor’s intervention would lead to appropriate action in this regard.
The BJP Youth Front has raised several demands concerning the PSC’s functioning and recruitment process. They have urged the government to identify all vacant positions across government departments and to publicly disclose this information, along with issuing a white paper on the vacancies.
Additionally, the Youth Front has called for prompt appointments for candidates included in the current PSC rank list for all approved vacant positions. They argue that candidates who have completed the recruitment process should not be made to wait while positions remain unfilled.
A key demand of the organization includes a CBI investigation into appointments made by the PSC over the last ten years.
Furthermore, the Youth Front has requested the establishment of transparent and clear legal regulations for the appointment of PSC members to prevent allegations of political interference and enhance the credibility of the recruitment process.
Manuprasad stated that their campaign aims to expose the ‘betrayal’ of job candidates by successive governments.
As part of their movement, the Youth Front will hold a continuous protest outside the PSC headquarters on August 19 and 20. This demonstration will focus on issues related to government vacancies, delays in appointments, and alleged irregularities in the recruitment process.
Manuprasad reiterated that their organization will continue to demand reforms until the government and PSC address the concerns of thousands of candidates awaiting appointments.
The Youth Front leadership has indicated that if their demands are not met, they will expand their movement in the coming days.
