Chandigarh, February 18: Gaurav Gautam, a minister in the Haryana government, has asserted that the BJP will establish a government in West Bengal following the upcoming elections, marking the end of Mamata Banerjee‘s tenure.

In a conversation in Chandigarh, Gautam stated that Mamata Banerjee appears to be panicking, sensing her power slipping away. He emphasized that a nation cannot be governed through violence, a method he claims Banerjee is attempting to employ in the state. Gautam believes the public will respond decisively, leading to a BJP government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

As Haryana’s Sports Minister, Gautam also commented on the upcoming Haryana budget, set to be presented on March 2. He described this year’s national budget as historic, introduced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman under PM Modi’s guidance. He noted a significant increase of over 33% in the sports sector, highlighting the government’s support for youth startups, AI, and MSMEs. Gautam expressed optimism that Haryana’s budget will also be historic and beneficial for youth and sports, emphasizing the need for improved stadiums, timely cash awards, and equipment for young athletes.

Criticizing the opposition, Gautam remarked that they often seek media attention without addressing the real issues affecting Haryana. He accused them of creating disturbances merely to maintain their presence in the media landscape.

On RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s recent comments regarding having three children, Gautam expressed agreement, stating that Bhagwat’s remarks were commendable.
