BJP MP Criticizes Oppositions No-Confidence Motion Against Speaker

New Delhi, February 10: BJP MP Manan Kumar Mishra has criticized the no-confidence motion against Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. He stated that the truth is that all unnecessary and frivolous actions are carried out by members of the Congress and the INDIA alliance.

In an interview with a news agency, Mishra argued that there is no solid reason to bring a no-confidence motion against the Speaker. He noted that when Rahul Gandhi speaks without thinking, he is occasionally restrained. No one stops him from speaking; rather, he tends to avoid speaking himself. Whenever a topic arises for discussion in the House, he is often absent or travels abroad. The opposition’s motion is merely a waste of time, he claimed.

Regarding RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statement advocating for families to have three children, Mishra supported the idea, stating it is a relevant suggestion given the current circumstances in the country. He emphasized that Bhagwat’s remarks are in the national interest and should be adhered to.

On AIMIM leader Shaukat Ali’s comments, Mishra remarked that Ali is merely dreaming. He questioned why a woman in a burqa has not been made the national president of the party if such dreams are to be taken seriously. He accused individuals like Ali of making nonsensical statements to mislead the public.

Mishra also addressed the demand for the Bharat Ratna award for Veer Savarkar, asserting that Bhagwat is correct in labeling Savarkar as a revolutionary freedom fighter. He endured imprisonment and fought against the British. Anyone opposing this view, he stated, is betraying the nation.

In response to Congress MP Imran Masood’s remarks, Mishra pointed out that the partition of India and Pakistan was orchestrated by Congress and Jawaharlal Nehru. He noted that the RSS had quietly opposed this decision, advocating for India to be a Hindu nation. He questioned who else deserves the Bharat Ratna if not Savarkar, who took revolutionary steps against British rule.

Finally, addressing Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s comments on Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi, Mishra demanded accountability. He noted that Gogoi has spent ten days in Pakistan and should explain his activities there, emphasizing that Pakistan is an enemy nation.
