BJP Leaders Condemn Rahul Gandhis Comparison to Lord Parshuram

Lucknow, June 19: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak has launched a strong attack on Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s comparison to Lord Parshuram. He stated that the public is watching closely and will respond accordingly in the future.

On Rahul Gandhi’s birthday, Congress workers portrayed him as Lord Parshuram. Near the Ganges in Varanasi, they performed a milk abhishek on a picture of Gandhi. In the photo, he held a parashu (axe) in one hand and the Constitution in the other. This act has sparked intense debate about its political and social implications.

Pathak remarked, “The intelligence of Congress leaders is questionable. Lord Parshuram is an avatar of Lord Vishnu. Comparing Rahul Gandhi to him is simply unacceptable. Those who oppose Sanatan Dharma cannot even think of equating themselves with Lord Parshuram.”

He further noted that Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party have always dismissed Lord Ram as fictional and have never accepted Sanatan culture. During the Bihar assembly elections, Gandhi was seen fishing in a pond on Dev Uthani Ekadashi, which he has consistently mocked. Given this background, how can he compare himself to Parshuram? He should apologize to the nation and seek divine wisdom.

Senior BJP leader Jairam Thakur acknowledged that everyone has the right to celebrate their birthday and extended his wishes. However, he found it strange that Gandhi was depicted as a deity and bathed in milk. He questioned the message behind holding the Constitution in one hand and Parshuram’s axe in the other.

Thakur added, “The world knows Rahul Gandhi’s views on Sanatan. However, celebrating his birthday by portraying him as Lord Parshuram seems odd to me. It’s essential for him to be a good human being rather than aspiring to be a god.”

Uttar Pradesh Minister Dinesh Pratap Singh also wished Gandhi a happy birthday but expressed concern over the portrayal of Gandhi as Parshuram. “How can someone who has not embraced Lord Ram claim to be Parshuram? The judiciary is also examining his religious beliefs. This is an insult to deities, and he should refrain from such actions, or the people of India will respond.”

BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala criticized the Congress workers for depicting Gandhi as Lord Parshuram, calling it an insult to Hindu faith and millions of devotees. He stated that deities are sacred and should never be used for political glorification or to elevate an individual. “Mocking Hindu terrorism, questioning the existence of Lord Ram, and now this—it’s a shameful trend. Will Rahul Gandhi apologize? Is he a god? Does he consider himself above millions of Hindus?”
